New Television Announcers London, May 13. Misses Jasmine Blight and Elizabeth Cowell, who have been chosen as television announcers, w’ere entertained at a Press tea at Broadcasting House Tlie girls were dashingly dressed and affected Mayfairish airs. Miss Cowell said she hoped the cor potation would provide clothes. A presswoman suggested that she would need 365 dresses. Officials said that the male announcer had not been appointed yet. He would not be a gigolo but a “be man."
