The “Daily Telegraph’s” Geneva correspondent says that a new problem has arisen for the League from France’s demand that German activities in the Rhineland be discussed by the Council on June 16. M. Patil-Boni-our told representatives of the Locarno Powers that lie has positive proof tiiat Germany is sending 300,000 tons of cement a month into the Rhineland for the purpose of fortifications. He estimates that these can be completed within a year. A private memo on tlie question was handed to- Mr. Tlden. The Geneva correspondent of “The Times” says that France’s documentary evidence impressed the other delegations.
