Eruption of Mud.— The first picture to reach Wellington of the crater lake of Mount Ruapehu after the eruption of mud which took place during the week-end. The snow round the crater is clearly shown to be veiled with mud. The lake, though changed in colour, has since shown no signs of further disturbance.
