More than 40 Maori axes of various shapes and sizes and a Maori club have been found at Blackpool Bay, Waiheke Island, by Mr. A. Graham of Ostend, during the past two months. Mr. Graham considers the Maoris must have made their axes at this spot, as for about four chains along the beach there are large quantities of stone chips produced when the axes were shaped.
