GREAT FLOATING DOCK
Construction at Honolulu AMERICAN NAVAL PLANS (Received May 14, 10.15 p.m.) New York, May 14. The Washington correspondent of the “New York Times” says that an interesting development in American naval plans is an announcement that the Navy Department is ready to start construction of a 10,000,000-dollar floating dry dock for Pearl Harbour, Honolulu, as part of the Hawaiian defence system. , The dock will be 1016 feet long and will be capable of handling any vessel in the American fleet, afloat or contemplated.
