Final Practices Held As a preliminary to the official opening of the Wellington Rugby Leagues season on Saturday next final practice matclies were played on Saturday. At Newtown Park, in rain, hail and wind St. George defeated Central by 10 points to 6. For St. George two-tries were scored by L. Simons and A. O Connor kicked twq goals. Avenel and Bramble scored unconverted tries for Central. A number of new players were tried out by both teams. A practice was arranged by the Hutt club at the Randwick ground.
