Enjoyable Sunday Night Concert A new standard for Sunday night concerts by local organisations was set last night nt the King’s Theatre, when the Band of the Ist Battalion, Wellington Regiment, varied its entertainment with novelty items. The band itself played the medley, “pommuuity Land.” fantasia “Raymond,” "The Spinning Wheel,” and several marches. In hddijion Arthur Pennington and Stan Philpott. “Arthur and Stan,” were responsible for fuu al lue piano, and tor some lightning sketches', Vivian Middleton and “his pal. Jerry, gave “Ventriloquist Verbosity.” and Stan Donoghue accompanied the item on his guitar; May Hyam sang and played the violin,both charmingly, and “The Laddies” Mouth-organ Band and its tin whistle champion varied the programme in (spirited fashion. The accompanist was! Dorothy Spinks. The whole programme was well arranged and provided excellent entertainment for a large crowd.
