ANSTIS —On May 3, 1936, at his residence, Kitchener Street, Martinborough, William Francis Anstis; aged 74 years. BIRCH.—On May 2. 1936, at her daughter's residence, 33 Rawhiti Terrace, Kelburn, Anne Emma Birch passed peacefully away; in her S3rd year. Very loved mother of Dai, Mrs. Robert-son-Hugo, and Mrs. W. M. McClure, Christchurch, and Messrs. F. F. and L. G. Birch, Palmerston North. G. M. Birch, Napier, A. S. Birch, Sydney, W. J. Birch, Brisbane, C. V. Birch, Wellington. and sister of Mrs. Carson and Mrs. Gear, Wellington. Private interment. No flowers, by request. HAMILTON.—On May 2, 1936, at her residence, 16 Rimu Road, Kelburn, Janet Stewart, dearly loved wife of Alexander Hamilton, and mother of iMrs. Mollie Macaulay and Stewart Hamilton. The Funeral will leave h.er late residence at 11 a.m. To-morrow (Tuesday), for the Karori Cemetery.
