DIVIDEND REDUCED
Bycroft Ltd. Dominion Special Service. Auckland, May 1. The accounts of Bycroft. Limited. flourmille.'M. . etc., for the year ended March 31 show a not profit of £10,799. an increase of £lO9. The year's dividend is reduced from "0 per cent, to S per cent., an interim of 5 per cent, and a final of 3 per cent. This step has been taken as a result of the Government's milling regulations. The report states that the regulations will carry some advantages to all existing mills by the elimination of competition from flour imports and the erection of further mills, while the basis of profit will be stabilised in pursuance of the policy of strict efficiency ami economy. As I lie outlook was so widely different from the company’s past experience of free trade, the directors wore following n prudent policy in recommending a dividend of 8 per cent, for the year.
