Kitchen Tea Miss Nancy Pritchard, Lower Hutt, whose wedding will take place shortly, was the guest of honour at a kitchen tea given by Mrs. 11. E. Edwards on Tuesday afternoon,. The rooms were gay with hydrangeas and pink chrysanthemums. Mrs. Edwards wore floral marocain, as also did Miss Pritchard. “500” was played to start with, the winners being Mrs. J. Hutton and Mrs. J. Campbell. Miss Pritchard then opened her parcels, which included aluminium and crockery, and thanked Mrs. Edwards for the enjoyable afternoon. .Mrs. Pritchard, who was present. was in black marocain and lace, with black hat. There were about 40 guests present. Afternoon Party it very pleasant and enjoyable afternoon was given by Mrs. Rist, Auckland, during the week at the Hotel St. George. The tea table was prettily decorated with an artistically-arranged basket of rosebuds and ribbons. The guests included Lady Gray, Signora Dessoules, Mrs. Doctor, Mrs. Rist, Miss Jackson, Mrs. Cassells,’Miss Bran don, Mrs. Laird, Miss Marten (England), Mrs. Durie, Mrs. Kersley, Mrs Climie.
