N.Z. Selection Committee REPORT ON SCRUM WORK The management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union last night decided to call for nominations for the New Zealand selection committee, which will comprise three members from each island and hold office for two years in view of the visit next season of the South Africans. Nominations will close on May 19. The Hon. J. McLeod raised the question of scrum formations, suggesting that out of the experience of the All Blacks in Gieat Britain something of the technique of the three-man front-row scrum might be gained for the benefit of clubs in New Zealand. It was decided to ask Mr. V. R. Meredith, the manager of jrhe All Blacks, if he would prepare a report for circulation to clubs on the lessons in the application of the threeman front-row scrum the All Blacks had learned in Great Britain. It was announced that a conference would be held to-day between representatives of the N.Z.R.U. and the New Zealand Broadcasting Board to discuss the question of broadcasts for this season. Mr. S. S. Dean and the Hou. J. McLeod, with Mr. J. Prendeville, chairman of the Wellington Rugby Union, were appointed as the union representatives at the conference. Reinstatements Approved. Leith. Mr. S. S. Dean presided over the. following members: Messrs. F. T. Glasgow, W. J. Wallace, A. McDonald, 11. 8. Leith and the Hon. J. McLeod. It was decided to send a letter of appreciation to Messrs. A. C. Kitto and E. S. Hylton thanking them for their services, on the management committee last year. ,
