In “Metropolitan”

TIBBETT’S rich baritone voice will be heard in five song numbers in the FH production “Metropolitan.” In the rehearsal and operatic sequences he sings arias from “The Barber of Seville,” “Faust,” “Carmen,” and the Prologue to “I Pagliacci.” The popular number is “De Glory Road,” a favourite with his radio audiences. That ever-popular actress, Alice Brady, almost steals the show from Tibbett, and all the others in the perfectly balanced cast give wonderful performances. The film is magnificent, and, at times, most unusually mounted, and is rich in comedy, romance and melody.
