APPOINTMENTS MADE

Teachers in Wellington Board’s District SEVERAL HEADMASTERS Several headmasters are included in the list of teachers who have been appointed to new positions by the Wellington Education Board. Some Grade O schools whose teachers have either been transferred or brough into the city to cope with the increased rolls that followed the readmission of the five-year-olds have also had vacancies filled.

Of the head teachers, Mr. W. D. Bennett, of Auckland, has been appointed to succeed Mr. E. I. Wood, who was recently promoted to the inspectorate, at Upper Hutt School. Hastwell School, newly opened, has been given Mr. A. E. Nicholson, also from Auckland, as headmaster. Mr. W. T. Armstrong, from Taranaki, has been appointed headmaster of Masterton West School, and Mr. W. It. Adams, also from Taranaki, has been appointed to the vacancy of Otaki School. Appointments to sole-charge schools are (teachers whose present districts are not stated being already stationed in the Wellington Education Board's area) Mrs. M. D.
