A field day is being held at. the Plant Research Station, commencing at 11 a.m.. and ;i large attendajiee is expected, member,,- within a radius of 120 miles having signified tbeir intention of being present. New Cricket Pavilion. Tbe Palmerston North High School-* Board has signed a contract for £3lO for tbe erection of a cricket pavilion at the Boya’ High School. Two-thirds, of tbe money wus found by tbe parents’ association and tbe remainder by au unemployment subsidy.
