Major-General Sir W. L. H. SinclairBurgess, general ofiicer commanding the New Zealand Military Forces, left Wellington yesterday ■ for the north.

Professor J. Malcolm, of the University of Otago, arrived at Wellington yesterday from the south. Mr. A. Tyndall, Under-Secretary for Mines, was a passenger from Wellington last night for the South Island. Mr. J. Mosley, accompanied by Mrs. .Mosley, arrived at Wellington from the south yesterday.

Flight Lieutenant E. A. Gibson, aerodrome engineer to the Public Works Department, is engaged on a tour of inspection of North Island aerodromes.

Mr. A F. Ellis. New Zealand’member of the British Phosphate Commission, is visiting Wellington. Captain V. G. Webb, marine superintendent for the Union Steam Ship Company, and Mrs. Webb, left Auckland by Hie Niagara.

Mr. John Brodie, the New Zealand author, who wrote "The Little Country” under the name of “Joan Guthrie,” will leave for England by the lonic this morning from Wellington.

Messrs. C. P. Agar, Christchurch, and John Dunlop, Seaward Downs, Southland, members of the Dairy Board, arrived at Wellington by the steamer express from Lyttelton yesterday. Mr. Leo Du Chateau left for Christchurch last night. His visit is concerned with Professor Max Reinhardt’s plcturlsation of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
