POSITION AT DANZIG
Commissioner to Report to League NAZI DEMONSTRATION London, January 19. The Warsaw correspondent of “The Times” says that the semi-official “Gttzeta I’olska” describes a report which Mr. Scan Lester, the League of Nations High Commissioner at Danzig, is submitting to tlie League regarding Danzig as alarming. Another newspaper declares it is a thunderbolt. It is understood that Mr. Lester emphasises that the Senate's unconstitutional procedure and disobedience to (lie League’s instructions is essentially a League problem, which explains why Colonel Beck, the Polish Foreign Minister, is visitlug Paris while en route to Geneva in order to consult M. Laval and possibly Mr. Anthony Eden, who is rapporteur regarding the Danzig disputes. Herr Greiser, President of the. Senate, incensed at Mr. Sean Lester’s report. has left for Berlin in order to consult Herr Hitler. Tlie Nazi fighting organisation held, a big demonstration, receiving Nazi (lugs from Herr Schnee, head of the Nazi fighting organisation in Germany. The gathering demonstrated against the League and swore allegiance to Herr Hitler.
