Mrs. Norman Moore, “Ratanui,” Wanganui, is visiting Masterton. Miss 11. O’Leary-Fay, who has been visiting Auckland, has returned to Wellington. Mrs. G. S. McNair lias returned to Wellington from' a visit to Parapar aumu. Mrs. A. 11. Tocker, Christchurch, is the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs J. D. Sievwright, The Terrace. Mrs. M. L. Squire, New York, who, is making a Pacific tour, arrived at Wellington yesterday by the Makura. Mrs. C. G. White, who has been in Hawke’s Bay and Masterton for the holidays, has returned to Wellington. Miss Murison, Christchurch, is the guest of Mr. C. E. Richardson, Ileretaunga. Miss Joan Welsh, who has been visiting Mr, and Mrs. L. Craig, at Wanganui, has returned to Wellington. Miss V. Burnett, Dunedin, is the guest of Mrs. Gregor McLeod, Okoia, Wanganui. Miss Beth Hunter will leave Wellington on Friday for London, via Australia. Miss M. Brinkman, Wanganui, is visiting her cousin, Miss Marjorie Bridgeman, Wellington. Miss Elsa Mclntosh is a Wellington visitor to Wanganui, and is the guest of Mrs. A. Doig, St. John’s Hill. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Broad, who have been visiting. Mrs. E. W. Broad, in Wanganui, have returned to Masterton. Mrs. T. B. Darrall, Mrs. J. W. Robinson, and Mrs. W. Dyer have left for a motor tour of the North Island. Mrs. N. Grahame Steele, Wellington, has returned home after visiting her sister, Mrs. G. W. Willis, Wiilesdeiie Estate, Papanui. Dr. and Mrs. J. Andrews, who have been visiting Wellington for the Snedden-James wedding, have returned to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. W. Waddell and Mrs. C. Martin have returned to Wellington from a motor trip to Rotorua and Auckland. Miss F. McKaiii has returned to her home, “Arohanui,” Hinakura, after spending a holiday with friends at Days Bay. ■ Miss Nola Murphy, Wellington, and the Misses Kathleen and Eileen Edmonds, are spending a holiday with Mrs. W. A. Wells, Eton, Christchurch.

Mrs. R. Dobson, an English visiter to New Zealand, is the guest of Mrs. 0. E. Richardson, Heretaunga, for the races. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hockley, Christchurch!', will arrive at Wellington today to take up their residence at Kelburn. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Short have returned to Wellington after au absence of several months in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. Miss Lulu Dyer, Tinakori Road, who has been spending several weeks at the Golf House, Heretaunga, has returned home. Mrs. Leahy, Napier, and her children are the guests of Mrs. Hayward, Lower Hutt. They will return home at the end of the week, accompanied by Miss Fisher, Hawkestone Street. Mrs. R. H. Nagle, “The Grange.” Highland Park, Wellington, and Mrs. Stuart, Thorndon, who have been touring the North Island, are how. staying- at Chateau Tongariro. Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Knight, who have been staying at “Waratai,” Karehana Bay, have returned to Wellington. Mrs. Knight will return to the seaside accompanied by Miss Aileeu Palmer, Karaka Bay. . Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Gardiner and family have returned to their home Upland Road, Kelburn, after a threeweeks’ trip to Napier, Lake Taupo, Rotorua, Waitomo Caves, New Plymouth and Wanganui. ' • Miss Stuart-Menteath, who is a member of tlie Marsden School teaching staff, returned to Wellington' by the Remuera from a tour of England and the Continent. She was met by her mother. Mrs. Stuart-Menteath, Havelock North, and they are staying at Croydon House, Hill Street. Mrs. Hamilton Loughnan, Hastings, has returned to New Zealand after a business trip to. London aud tlie Continent. Speaking to a “Dominion” representative yesterday, Mrs. Loughnan. who was accompanied on the trip by her husband, stated that she considered London was now definitely the fashion centre of the world.
