Makura From Sydney

The Union Royal Mail steamer Makura arrived at Wellington yesterday morning from Sydney, and berthed at the Queen's wharf, No. 1 south. She is to sail again at 3 p.m. to-day in continuation of her voyage to San Francisco, via Rarotonga and Papeete. The following, passengers arrived by the Makura:—

The Shaw. Savlll motor-ship Coptic la to. leave Wellington to-night at midnight for Loud in via Cape Horn and Las Palmas. She Is at present berthed at the King’s Wharf. TAIROA FOR NAPIER. The Shaw, .Savlll steamer Talroa is expected to get away from Wellington tonight to continue loading at Napier, Waikokopu, Wanganui, and Auckland, She w’lli leave Auckland on February 5 for London, via the Panama Canal. CANADIAN BRITISHER. Canadian National Steamships have beeu advised that the Canadian Britisher left Auckland yesterday morning, and ,s duo here to-morrow. She is to sail on Thursday to complete discharge of her Montreal cargo in Australia. / NEW SCHEDULE FOR CORNWALLIS. The Caudlaii National freighter Cornwallis will leave to-day for Auckland and Napier to load. She will return to Wellington to complete here, sailing finally ou January 31 for New York. Boston and Halifax. PORT ADELAIDE TO COMPLETE. The C. and D. Line’s Port Adelaide, loading Homeward, leaves Wellington today to complete at Napier. She is to sail finally next Saturday for London, via Cape Horn. PORT HUON TO-MORROW. The Port Huon*’is due at Wellington tomorrow from Bluff. She is to sail again on Saturday to complete loading at Auckland, sailing on February 4 for London. THE MONOWAI. The Union intercolonial liner Monowai is due at Auckland this morning from Sydney, and will leave at midnight for WellTngtou. She is due here on Thursday and will sail the following day on, her return passage to Sydney.
