Saturday • Night’s Motor Collision at Hutt

DEATH OF MR. MILDENHALL

The passenger in the motor-car whieh collided witli a thxi in Lower Hutt on Saturday night, Mr, Charles Mildenliail, of 220 Oriental Parade, Wellington, died in the 'Wellington Hospital yesterday morning. Wlier. admitted to hospital lie was suffering from severe head injuries, fractured right leg and concussion. The driver of the car. Mrs. Lillian Ellen Lowery, aged 64.. of 174 Oriental Parade, was killed almost instantaneously. Mr, Mildenliail was a married man in liis early sixties, and is survived by his wife and three adult children, lie was a builder and land-agent by occupation. and was educated at the Johnsonville School. s Another tragic feature of the accident was that tlie passengers in the taxi, Mr. and Mrs. S. 'Wilson, of No. 1 Downes Street, Lower Hutt, were, in company with their daughter, on their way to the hospital to see their dying child, who, however, passed away before the parents could arrive.
