SUPREME COURT RULING By Telegraph-— Press Assn. —Copyright. (Received January 14, 7.20 p.m. Washington, January 14. The Supreme Court ruled unanimously that 200,000,000 dollars of Agricultural Adjustment Administration processing taxes impounded by courts must be returned to taxpayers. One' of the most momentous decisions ever to affect American economic and political affairs was rendered by the Supreme Court on January 6, when it ruled by a six to three majority that the entire Agricultural Adjustment Administration programme was unconstitutional. The majority ruling thus in one stroke completed the destruction of the New Deal which began with the declaration of the unconstitutionality of the N.R.A. All forms of crop control and reduction, processing taxes and increased profits to agriculture were thus swept aside. The Government, however, faced the loss of 200,000,000 dollars in impounded taxes and the need of finding an additional 602,000,000 dollars which it had hoped to get from the processing tax and which.it contracted to give farmers under the crop control plan.
