Mr. Philip Newbury

Jlr. Philip Newbury died to-day, only a fortnight after the death of his wife.
A New York cable received last month revealed that Jlr. Newbury and Madame Spada, who were world-famous 30 years aeo as concert singers, were, living virtually destitute in flat in Brooklyn. Jladame Spada was suffering from hemiplegia and painful complications. For many years illness had kept them both from following their profession. Madame Spada died on January 2.
