50 Yards Junior Girls’ Title

One New Zealand record was lowered at the intermediate and junior swimming championships of Auckland, held in the tepid baths to-night, (lie successful competitor being Ihe winner of the 50 yards junior girls’ title. M. Black. Her time was 29 .3-5, a reduction of one-fifth of a second upon her own record, which was established al Auckland neaily two years ago.
A further title gained by her was (lie 100 yards, in which she lowered the Auckland record from Li t 2-5 to LIO 3-5. The following team will represent Auckland at the New Zealand ir.tcrinedialo junior championships meeling at Hamilton on January 25. 27 anil 28: — Intermediate boys’ 220yds.. A. I’ascoe; 100yds. breaststroke. M. Cleary; intermediate girls' 100yds., 22<).vils., Misses J. Finlayson and G. Priestley; 220yds., Miss K. Grey; 75yds. breaststroke. Miss G.
