Auckland Firm’s Purchase The purchase for cash of the old-estab-lished Hamilton business of House and Daking Ltd. by John Court Ltd. is reported, the price being in the vicinity of £50,000. John Court Ltd. will take immediate possession. The firm has been under the direction of Mr. F. C. House, who, owing to ill-health, has sold it as a going concern. The premises, which are of ferro-com Crete and brick, occupy a commanding position in the centre of the town, with a frontage of 69ft., widening to 160 ft. in the rear half of the property, and with a depth of 200 ft. The store is well equipped with modern fixtures, pneumatic cash system and central heating plant, and the departments include drapery, clothing, mercery, furnishings', millinery and tearooms. Argo Gold Dredge Dividend The Argo Gold Dredging Company. Ltd., reports the following official return for the period ended December 24:— Yield: 73 ounces. Hours dredged : 160: yards dredged, 17.500 cubic yards. A dividend of 5 per cent, on the capital of the company has been declared, and will be payable on Wednesday, January 8. 1936. The transfer books of the company will be closed from January 1 to 8. botli days inclusive.
