SERIOUS FALL
Mr. W. T. Grundy Injured The many friends of Mr. W. T. Grundy, the ex-schoolmaster, who was done such honour at the closing-down function in connection with the Clyde Quay School last week, will regret to hear that he is now lying in the Lister private hospital. On the morning of Boxing Day he was walking along the carpeted floor of the hallway of Ills home in upper Hawker Street, when by some means or other he fell, and in falling fractured his left thigh bone, a serious injury for a man of his years. Mr. Grundy, who was headmaster of the Clyde Quay School for over a quarter of a century, is now in his eightyfourth year. His many friends will wish him an early recovery.
