MILFORD SOUND CRUISE
A Visit to Scenic Beauty Spots Not to have seen Milford Sound is to have missed the most wonderful sight in New Zealand, perhaps in the whole world. And to capture the thrill of Milford in its entirety, it is necessary to come to it from the sea. An opportunity of seeing Milford Sound in this way. and in a minimum of time and with a maximum of comfort, will be afforded shortly by a cruise of the 11,000-ton Monowai, which is to leave Wellington on the evening of Tuesday, February 4, arriving back on the morning of Saturday, February b. The Wednesday will be spent in steaming down the West Coast, with glorious views of the mountains, in clear weather, down as far as Mount Cook. Thursday will be occupied visiting Milford Sound, and the return trip up the coast will begin that evening. Pelorus Sound will ne reached late on Friday afternoon, and the final gala night of the cruise will be spent there in the beautiful wooded surroundings of Tennyson Inlet. Deck sports, pictures. dancing and other shipboard pastimes will occupy the time on the voyage, with a fancy dress dinner and ball for a grand finale.
