WHEAT COMMITTEE

Minister to be Chairman

Chief among the changes provided for in the Board of Trade (Wheat) Regulations, 1935-36, which were published yesterday in a supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, is a provision that the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Hon. D. G. Sullivan) will be chairman of the wheat committee. Formerly the chairman was the secretary of the department. In the past the committee has consisted of nine members—five representatives of the wheat-growers and four of the flonrniillers. Under the new regulations the number of the committee has been left indefinite.
