DE LUXE, LOWER HUTT
Songs, dancing, and comedy are the ingredients of “Happiness Ahead,” Warner Bros.' musical extravaganza which is the feature at the De Luxe Theatre, Lower Hutt, to-day and on Monday. Dick Powell is at his best singing “Pop Goes Your Heart” and other popular numbers, and he has as an attractive co-star a new “find,” Josephine Hutchinson, Frank' McHugh supplies the comedy. The supports include a coloured revue, a melody cartoon, and a special featurette. On Tuesday and Wednesday the programme will be “The Gilded Lily." starring Claudette Colbert. Fred Mac Murray. and C. Aubrey Emith. A tender romance, “Have a Heart.” will be shown on Thursday and Friday. Jean Parker. James Dunn, and Una Merkel ara the stars.
