Curtiss, the American aviator, made a long flight over Lake Erie in a biplane. He covered 64 miles in 102 minutes. It is estimated that 106,000 persons witnessed the flight. $ » « Among the passengers to.arrive back from America by the Mokoia yesterday was Mr. Farmer Whyte, formerly subeditor of the “New Zealand Herald,’ who left New Zealand as manager of a troupe of Maoris who had been engaged to appear at the New York Hippoujoiue. Mr. Whyte believes tbat the United States is on the eve of a big revolution, in which money (as representing the trusts) and the people will be strongly contending factors.
