F.A.M.E. INSURANCE
General Manager Appointed
Sir Charles Statham, chairman of directors of tile F.A.M.E. Insurance Company, Ltd., announced yesterday that the directors have appointed Mr. Walter O. Gibb, A.R.A.N.Z., F.C.S.N.Z., A.1.1.N.Z., as general manager of the company. Mr. Gibb has been prominently associated with many activities iu the insurance world. He was the accountant for the Standard Insurance Co., Ltd., Wellington, for some years, and was previously attached to the head office staff at Dunedin? Mr. Gibb is a member of the New Zealand Society of Accountants, the Institute of Secretaries, and the Incorporated Insurance Institute of New Zealand- He has always been keenly interested in educational matters, and is a member of the Commercial Advisory Committee of 'Wellington Technical College, a director of Insurance Tutorial School, Ltd., and a member of the executive council of the Insurance Institute, and is also on the executive of the Insurance Officers’ Benevolent Fund.
