Tall Money in Fines.

The Home Office return of motoring offences of last’year has been issued The total amount received in fines on drivers of motor vehicles was £321,000 In respect of 483,000 offences. In these 366,448 persons were concerned. As usual the largest number of offences was 54,369 in respect of lighting. The next largest was 52,118 for obstruction. Goods vehicle speed offences numbered 44,966; dangerous driving, 10,745; careless driving, 33,578; failing to stop, 43,263; failing to insure, 19,527; and equipment offences, 24,628. Persons fined numbered 266,775, and cases dismissed 23,270.
