Throughout the first half Wellington had the ascendency, aud at the interval the score was 7-2 in their favour. Miss M. I’rosser aud Miss J. Grainger were outstanding. Auckland rallied during the second llaif, aud showed some fine passing. Blay became very fast, and Miss T. Houghton was responsible for some spirited scoring. About three minutes before the close ot play the score stood at 11-10, Auckland being only one point behind, but Wellington put the ball through the ring again in the last minute of p-ay.
