Miss Kathleen Cameron, “Glendhu,” Hinakura, who is staying with Miss Lorna Brodie, Tinakori Road, will return home at the end of the week. Miss Julia. Dunn, Miss Dorothy Stewart and Miss lima Levy have returned to Wellington from a visit to the Chateau.

Mrs. M. B. Thompson, M.A., and Miss N. Thompson, Solway College, Masterton, have gone to Auckland for the term holidays. Miss Nilsson (Wairoa), and Miss S. Nilsson and Mr. D. Nilsson (Martinborough), who have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. S. Powdrell, in Wanganui, have returned. Miss M. M. Hughes, a member of the teaching staff of the Ngaio School, who has been in a private hospital for some weeks, is now convalescent and is at Lower Hutt. Mrs. E. Warren, who has been residing in Wellington for some months, has returned to Auckland and is staying with her daughter, Mrs. N. G. MacKinlay.

Mr. and Mrs. John Ellis and their two children, Karori, will arrive at Christchurch on Saturday morning. Mrs. Ellis will spend a fortnight’s holiday with her father, Mr, H. H. Loughnan, Avonside.

Miss Jerome Spencer, of Hawke’s Bay, who is visiting Wanganui in connection with the training of voluntary organisers for the Women’s Institutes, is the guest of Mrs. J. Brine, Wanganui Federation president.

Miss Rees, matron-in-chief of the Southern Rhodesia Hospital, paid a brief visit to the Wanganui Hospital on Tuesday. Miss Rees had afternoon tea with the nurses, and spoke briefly on the hospital work in Rhodesia. In the evening she was the guest of Dr. .and Mrs. R. Nelson.
