VTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN-that a charge for admission to the BASIN RESERVE will be made_as under on Saturday, August 31, 1935, under the Wellington City Consolidated By-law No. 1, 1933, Part 12, after the hour of 12.30 p.m. Admission to ground. Adults (over 15 years of age) One Shilling. Children free. Relief Workers (on production of Bureau Cards) Sixpence. THE WELLINGTON HIGH LEVELS TRAMWAY AMENDMENT AND EMPOWERING. XTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it ■ ’ is the intention of the Wellington City Council to introduce in the forthcoming Session of Parliament the Wellington High Levels Tramway Amendment and Empowering Bill., The objects and purport of the Bill are:— (1) To restrict the free use of the Kelburn Tramway pursuant to the provisions of the Wellington High Levels Tramway Act. 1898. to the following persons, while in uniform and while engaged in performing their official duties, namely:— (a) Volunteer members of the Defence Forces of New Zealand, (b) Members of the Police Force, (c) Officers of the Post and Telegraph Department. (d) Officers of the Internal Affairs Department. (2) To extend the time within which the Council has authority to borrow money conferred by ratepayers for:— (i) Loan for tramways to Kelburn, Karori and Northland. (ii) Loan for tramways to Melrose from Zoo gates: so that such moneys may be borrowed within twenty years after the 15th day of September. 1920. A copy of the above Bill has been deposited in the Magistrate’s Court, Lambton Quay, Wellington, and also at the Town Clerk's Office, Town Hall, Cuba Street, Wellington, and such copies are there open for public inspection for a period of three full weeks from the first publication of this advertisement. • Dated at Wellington this 28th day of August, 1935.
