Long Service to Counties’ 1 Association
TRIBUTES TO MR. A. E. JULL
Few heads of organisations in New Zealand can boast of 31 years’ continuous service. The president of the New Zealand Counties’ Association, Mr. A. E. Jull, M.P., took his seat as president for the 31st time when he presided at the annual conference of delegates of the association in Wellington yesterday. Mr. Jull announced that this would be his last year of office, but delegates were of quite a different opinion. In moving a vote of thanks to Mr. Jull for his presidential address. Mr. Talbot (Mackenzie Country) referred Io the Jong and able services the president had given to the association over a period of 31 years. “We love the old man," .said Mr. Talbot; “we admire and respect him. and everyone of us is highly desirous that he should remain in office.” He moved that the conference express the opinion that Mr. Jull should remain in the presidential chair.
The motion was seconded by Mr. W. Morrison (Waitotara County), and carried unanimously, amid hearty acclamation.
