In the lawn tennis test between Australia and .South Africa, the Australians won all six mutches. To-day J. H. Crawford defeated V. G. Kirby, 6-1, 6-4; A. K. Quist defeated N. G. Farquharson, 6-3, 6-2; Crawford and Quist defeated Farquharson and Musgrove. 2-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4.

F. J. Perry lias been seeded first among the invading players in the draw for the United States singles championship, which commences on Thursday at Forest Hills.
AMERICAN DOUBLES FINAL Brookline (Mass.), August 26. In the final of the national doubles championship, W. Allison and Van Ryn defeated D. Budge and G. Mako, 6-1. 6-2. 3-6, 2-6, 6-1.
