A finding that death was due to misadventure was returned by the coroner, Mr. E. Gilbertson, at the inquest at Lower Hutt yesterday on Adam Dennison, single, aged 78, who died in the Wellington Hospital on August 20. There was no suggestion of suicide, said the coroner. It was shown that Dennison lived alone in - a room at Melling, and the assumption was that he returned home on Saturday, August 17, had supper, and when rising to retire to bed his clothes caught and half turned on the tap of a gas stove. He was discovered in a comatose condition on the Monday morning, and removed to the hospital, where he died.
