ASSESSMENT COURT
Valuation Appeals Appeals against property valuations were heard yesterday by the Assessment Court in Wellington, the court consisting of Messrs J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M., R. C. Burton and 11. E. Leighton. Messrs. Frazer McKenzie and C. Buckingham represented the Valuation Department.
The following appeals were heard: J. J. McGrath, Scarborough Terrace, £670; Oriental Parade, £3840; Hopper Street, £1275; 'Woodward Street, £2850; estate of P. J. Griffin, Grey Street, £1500; the Stelliii Construction Co. (Strathmore Park), £7500. Tlie Wellington Rugby Union's appeal against'the valuation of Athletic Park was continued, the balance sheet of 1907 beiiig produced to show that the cost of levelling the ground wtts £3900. The court adjourned to inspect the properties.
