HARRIER RUNS
Methodist Championship
There were 28 members present at the weekly run of the Methodist Harrier Club on Saturday from Lyall Bay. This run took the form of the club championship, and many fast times were recorded. There were 22 runners in the race. The course led along Beach Road over the Vosseler Hill and back via the golf links and Bsieh Road. Fastest times were recorded by Frank Thorley. 29.25; A. O. Dave. 29.28: 11. Ingram, 29.33; and L. Ingram. 30.34. The club’s sealed _handicap was aLs-o held and resulted : G. Hayton 1. E. Patterson 2. R. Ingram 3, J. Watson 4. Mr. P. N. Denton acted as timekeeper, and Mr. T. Thorley as handicapper. Next week’s run will be held trorn Webb Street.
