' Mr. C. A. Barrell, of Hamilton, has been selected as the official Labour candidate for the Hamilton seat at the general election.

The final selection of a Labour candidate for the Ashburton seat has iiot yet been made. The name of Mr. 11. E. Herring, who was “stated-on Saturday to have been chosen as the official candidate, has been forwarded, together with the names of Messrs. J. J. Phaup and It. W. Wightman, to Labour headquarters at Wellington for final choice.
