rpilE marriage of Miss Lili Damita and the Irish film actor, .Mr. Errol Flynn, took place at Yuma, Arizona, on a recent afternoon The. air pilot who Hew the couple to Yuma from Los Angeles acted as best man, and the court officials were witnesses. The ceremony was performed by Yuma’s famous “marrying magistrate.” Judge Freeman, who estimates that he has married more than 40 film stars. “Mr. Flynn was as nervous as any man I have ever seen.” said Judge Freeman afterward... “At the critical moment he could not find the ring, which he had put on his thumb.” “Miss Damita led him into my chambers by the hand and seemed quite self-possessed. I fell in love with her immediately 1 saw her.” The bride’s real name—Lillian Madeleine Carre —was written on the license.
