J C. WILLIAMSON, LTD.’S big at- * traction in Sydney is the overseas musical triumph, “Ball at the Savoy,” which has created something of a sensation at the Theatre Royal. This spectacular production litis introduced to Sydney audiences for the first time the famous Hungarian star, Oskar Denes who. as Mustapha Bei. the genial attache at the Turkish Embassy, has the type of part in which he excels, and for which be has become worldfamous. The story of the play opens with a delightful gondola scene, and a young honeymoon couple basking in the silvery beams of a Venetian moon. From there the action moves to a chateau near Nice, and later to the ball at the Savoy. The production is one of the most spectacular and elaborate yet presented by the firm.
