OPPONENT FOR LEADER OF OPPOSITION
Woman Democrat Candidate By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, July 24. The Democrat Party has decided to nominate Mrs. Suzanne Mabel Milne as the party’s candidate for the Auckland West seat. Mr. H. C. Baulf, the party’s Auckland representative, said Mrs. Milne was a prominent worker in Women’s Institute circles and had been a foundation member of the Auckland centre. She was one of the lecturers on the panel of the institute and was well known throughout the Auckland province. For IS months she had spoken from IYA on health topics. Mrs. Milne is a New Zealander, born and educated at Dunedin. The sitting member for Auckland West is Mr. M. J. Savage. Loader of the Opposition.
