Imperial Challenge Shield

Detailed results of the Imperial Challenge Shield and the Earl Jellicoe Trophy competition for 1934 have been published The trophy presented by Earl Jellicoe when Governor-General of New Zealand has been won by A Company, 2nd (Cadet) Battalion, Haurakj Regiment (Rotorua High School), and silver medals of honour, presented by the National Rifle Association (England) to all who scored oue hundred points and over have been won by fourteen New Zealanders. Two members of the 3rd (Cadet) Battalion, AVellington Regiment (St. Patrick’s College, Siiverstream) —Cadets G. Cronin and C. P. Marin—secured these medals. Eight New Zealanders won bronze medals of honoui- for scoring !)9 points, Cadet J. AA'ilkie, of St. Patrick's College, being one ‘of these.
