12th Reinforcement Reunion
Sir, —I shall lie grateful if you will allow me space to announce that this year’s reunion of this lighting unit will be held on Saturday, September 11. That date will commemorate the opening of the great British offensive on the Somme in 1916, and in which the New Zealand Division earned the highest praise ever bestowed by British generals. Will all old “Twelfths” please make a special effort to be present, and also please notify the honorary secretary, Mr. P. Morganti, 87 Dixon Street, Wellington, of their intention as early as possible?—l am, etc., SOMME ’l6.
