XrOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is the intention of the Wellington City Council to introduce in the forthcoming Session of Parliament the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Bill. Tlie objects and purport, of 1 lie Bill are:—(l) To restrict the application of subsections (2) and (5) of Section ■1 of tlie Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act. 1919. by providing that such subsections shall not apply Jo any part of the way over Section 459 Town of Wellington now known as Tramway Avenue and any extension thereof that may hereafter lie , taken, purchased, or acquired by tlie Wellington City Corporation as accessway leading from the Terrace to Clifton Terrace, both streets in the City of 'Wellington. (2) 'To authorise an exchange of land bclween the Wellington City Corporation and tlie Governors of the Wellington College and Girls' High School, in connection with the construction of Alexandra Road through the Wellington College Site Reserve and adjacent portions of tlie Town Belt, tlie portions of tlie College Site Reserve affected being three areas containing respectively 2 roods 24.39 perches, 16.09 perches, and 37.72 perches, a total of 3 roods 38.2 perches, and tlie area of the 'Town Belt affected being 1 rood 25.45 perches, as the said pieces of land are particularly delineated on the plan hereinafter referred to. A copy of the above Bill and a plan of the land whicn it is intended in such Bill to take power to deal with by way of exchange have boon deposited in tlie Magistrate's Court, Lambton Quay. Wellington, and also at the Town Clerk’s Office, Town Hall, Cuba Street, Wellington, and such copies and plans are there open for public inspection for a period of three full weeks from the first publication of this advertisement.
