OVER 28,000,000 SHEEP
New Zealand’s Flocks INCREASE IN NORTH ISLAND Au official interim return issued by the Department of Agriculture shows that the approximate number of sheep in New Zealand at April 30 last was 28,967,247, an increase of 318,209 on the final return for 1934. The interim returns for each pastoral district this year, with comparative final returns for 1934, are as follow: Vinal Interim

The highest total of New Zealand flocks during the past ten years was recorded in 1930, when the number was 30,841,287. In the past decade no fewer than 70.887,836 lamb carcases have been exported from the Dominion, the highest yearly total being 9,316,873, which were shipped last season, ended April 30.
