PUBLIC) NOTICES. EASTBOURNE BOROUGH COUNCIL. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE RATES. XTOTIOE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Eastbourne Borough Council proposes iat a Meeting to be held on. THURSDAY, July 18, 193 a, at (.30 p.m., in the Council Chambers, Makaro street, Eastbourne, to make aud levy under the provisions of the "Municipal Corporations Act, 1933,” “The Rating Act, 1930, ’ and all Amendments and Acts enabling it m that behalf, the following rates for the period commencing on the Ist day ot April, 1935, and ending on the 31st daf of March, 1936. GENERAL RATE. A General Rate for the purpose of the Borough under Section 77 of the "Municipal Corporations Act, 1933,” of Three Pence (3d.) in the £ on a 75 per cent, basis of the Unimproved value (£265,000) of all rateable property in the Borough of Eastbourne. HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID BOARD. A Hospital Rate under the provisions of “The Hospital aud Charitable Aid Act, 1925,” and the “Municipal Corporations Act, 1933,” of eleven-twelfths of a penny (11-12 d. in the £ on a 75 per cent, basis of the Unimproved Value (£265,000) of all rateable property iu the Borough of Eastbourne. And that the following Special Rates be struck in terms of and under Authority of Special Orders in that behalf on a 75 per cent, basis of the Unimproved Value (£265,000) of all rateable property in the Borough of Eastbourne_ (a) Consolidated Conversion Loan Rate of Four and three-quarter pence (4?d.) in the £• (b) Water and Drainage Loan Rate of two and seven-twelfths pence (2 7-12<1.) in the £. Rates being struck ou a io per cent, basis of the Unimproved Value by virtue of the Authority contained in Section 5 of the Valuation of Land Amendment Act, 1933. REFUSE COLLECTION AND SANITATION FEE. An annual fee under the provisions of the “Municipal Corporations Act, 1933,” of thirty shillings on all rateable property in the Borough of Eastbourne having a building erected thereon from which the Council is prepared to remove all household and/or sanitary refuse. AND it is further notified that all such rates will be payable in onejnstalment on the Ist day of August, 1935, nt the office of the Council, situated at the Ferry Wharf, Wellington. A discount of 4 per cent, will be allowed on all rates paid within thirty days of date of demand.
