With tlie approach of winter the tourist traffic declines to off-season levels. reports the Government Statistician. Arrivals in New Zealand during April 603 tourists, as compared with 1944 in March, the March total including 1092 visitors in cruising liners. The April figures are considerably higher than in April for several years previously; and, in fact, were onlv exceeded once (in 1930, when the total was 610) during the past decade.
