ON FOUR WINNERS
Jockey K. Voitre at Flemington OVATION FROM CROWD By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received June 2, 7 pan.) Melbourne, June 2. The Victoria Racing Club’s meeting was held at Flemington to-day. Tlie jockey K. Voitre continues to ride impressively. He excelled himself to-day, winning the Rothsay Handicap of seven furlongs on Valiant Chief, the Royal Handicap of six furlongs on Vauntry, and the last race on Turf Boy. On returning to scale at the finish of the last race he received an ovation from the crowd. He also dead-heated for first on Alaric in the Sandringham Handicap. The only other jockey to win four races in one day hitherto at Flemington is also a New Zealander, M. McCarten. Voitre seems certain to win the jockeys’ premiership for Melbourne this season.
