Waipawa Maoris £12,000 By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, June 1. Pura Logan, a leading Maori in the Waipawa district, has won £12,000 iu Tattersail’s sweepstake with the first prize ticket number 50842. Logan is a married man with one son -who is attending Victoria College at “Wellington, and is a well-known sportsman, and a keen Rugby referee and golfer. He has been taking tickets persistently for 20 years, and this is his first success.
